Do I pay when I send the request?
No. Nothing is charged when you send the request. You pay at the end of your shopping day, directly to Manatho by UPI. We confirm availability and the final price on WhatsApp first.
How will I meet my companion?
Once your booking is confirmed on WhatsApp, we send you your companion’s name. We agree a public meeting point with you, such as the main entrance of the mall or market. Your companion arrives at your start time and messages you on WhatsApp when they reach. Before you hand over any bags, check that their name matches the one we sent you. Companions meet and shop with you in public places only.
How can I pay? Do you accept cash?
We accept online payments only, by UPI, using PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm or any UPI app. We don’t accept cash, and your companion never takes payment. At the end of your shopping day, we send you a payment request on WhatsApp, and you pay it in your UPI app.
Can the companion look after my child?
Not yet. Childcare is coming soon and will be provided by a separate, screened childcare professional. Tick the childcare box in the form and we’ll tell you when it launches.
What if there’s no companion in my area?
We’ll tell you, suggest a nearby area, or add you to the waitlist so you’re first when we expand.
What are your timings, and how far ahead should I book?
We work 9 AM to 8 PM on weekdays, and 9 AM to 10 PM on weekends. In the form you enter the time you’d like to start, and we confirm it on WhatsApp. Please book at least a day ahead. For same-day help, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll see if a companion is free.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before your shopping starts. Just message us on WhatsApp.
What if my companion is late or can’t come?
We’ll send a replacement, or you won’t pay for that booking.
What can my companion carry?
Your shopping bags from the day, up to about 5 kg per bag and 10 kg in total. Please keep your phone, cash, cards and jewellery with you. Your companion doesn’t carry suitcases or illegal or dangerous items, and can say no if something looks too heavy or unsafe. If something is lost or damaged, message us on WhatsApp the same day and we’ll look into it.
Is my number safe?
We use your WhatsApp number only to confirm your booking.
